VoteVets PAC Endorses David Garcia for Governor

PHOENIX, AZ – The largest progressive group of veterans in America, VoteVets PAC, is today offering its strong endorsement of David Garcia to be the next governor of Arizona.

“Right now, the very top quality we need in public office is an unwavering dedication to service, and Arizona has that, in David Garcia,” said Jon Soltz, Iraq War Veteran and Chair of VoteVets PAC. “Both overseas, and here at home, David has put service to others ahead of himself.  As an infantryman, he’s got the mettle to take on the tough fights, and not settle for the easy road of politics as usual.  We need that kind of fresh thinking, and dedication, now more than ever. We’re proud to endorse him.”

According to his bio, David enlisted in the Army when he was 17 and turned 18 in basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia. He served in the 2nd Infantry Regiment based out of Fort Lewis, Washington as an infantryman. He did two training tours in South Korea and was trained in nuclear, biological and chemical weapons. During his service he was awarded the Expert Qualification Badge (M-16), Humanitarian Service Medal for fighting fires in Yellowstone National Park, the Army Good Conduct, and Army Achievement Medal.
