New Jersey Veteran Praises New Automatic Voter Registration Bill

Trenton, N.J. – In response to Governor Murphy’s action today to sign into law A-2014/S-481, the “Motor Voter” Bill,Sicklerville, N.J., native and U.S. Marine Corps Veteran Frank Broomell made the following statement:

“Today is a victory for New Jersey Veterans, active-duty service members, and for anyone concerned with the security of our elections. With automatic voter registration signed by Governor Murphy, New Jersey’s elections will now be more secure against outside threats – all while saving taxpayer money and increasing access to the ballot box.”

“I want to thank leadership in the New Jersey Assembly and Senate, as well as the Governor, for working hard on behalf of their constituents. I’m glad to see U.S. Military Academy graduate and Army veteran Sue Fulton will take the lead role in implementing this important legislation.”

“I’m proud to say today that New Jersey is once again a national leader in election security and access.”

Frank Broomell is a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran from Sicklerville, N.J. Last month, he authored an Op-Ed in the Philadelphia Inquirer advocating for passage of Automatic Voter Registration in New Jersey.
